GloMIP works within a network of complementary CGIAR tools and platforms to promote interoperability, data coherence, and evidence-based decision-making across agricultural R4D, breeding programs, and broader food systems.
The CGIAR Breeding Hub (formerly Breeding Portal) is an internal platform that helps breeders align pipelines with Seed Product Market Segments (SPMSs) and Target Product Profiles (TPPs). It supports strategic TPP design by comparing trait priorities and enables transparent sharing of CGIAR breeding strategies through GloMIP.
The Crop Observatories are comprehensive crop-specific data platforms focused on crops such as banana (Musa), common beans, cassava, and rice. They integrate data from a wide range of open-access sources to offer insights and tools that support improved agricultural productivity and sustainability. The data is drawn from both national and international organizations.
The Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) is an open-source software that streamlines breeding data and workflows for programs in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Developed by the CGIAR Excellence in Breeding Platform, it integrates existing tools into one system to help breeders make faster, data-driven decisions. It also supports CGIAR and national partners in adopting improved breeding practices.
The Breeding for Tomorrow Toolbox features user-validated tools, services, best practices, and learning materials developed or curated by the CGIAR Breeding for Tomorrow Science Group (previously via EiB), for the improvement of breeding programs, seed systems, and the safeguarding of genetic resources.
The Foresight Portal offers access to tools, data, and insights that help explore future scenarios for food, land, and water systems. Developed by the CGIAR Foresight Initiative, it supports evidence-based decision-making through advanced analytics and collaboration with global and local partners.
